About the event

Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of Winter. It is also said to be a time when the veil between the seen and unseen world is the thinnest, hence its association with other international celebrations such as the Day of the Dead. It is thus seen as a time for honouring ancestors and remembering those past.

As such, this Samhain women's circle will provide an opportunity to explore and reflect on our ancestral female lineage and the Mother Wound in a safe and loving container. The evening will involve:

- a heart-opening and nourishing cacao ceremony

- guided journalling prompts to explore these topics

- guided meditation and visualisation practices

- discussion and sharing with other women in a safe, judgement-free space

- a movement practice to heal from ancestral wounds

- finishing with a relaxing yoga nidra

Fruit will also be provided to snack on. Please bring your own water, a journal (or notepad) and pen.

Please let us know of any allergies in advance. Ceremonial cacao is not recommended for those with heart conditions, those who are on MAO antidepressants, those with epilepsy, or during pregnancy. However, you are still welcome to attend the circle and just skip the cacao ;)

This circle is open to women of all life stages and experiences. It is open to those who know their lineage and ancestors, and those who do not; those who have a relationship with their mother/caregiver, and those who do not (or who are adopted). It is open to all women who wish to simply explore the legacy left to us by our female ancestors and the impact of the Mother Wound on our lives and society, in a safe and nurturing space.

Tickets are £15. Spaces are limited to 16 to keep the circle cosy and intimate.
